About Crossroads
Crossroads Church is a growing multi-site, interdenominational church. Our sites are currently located in Ohio and Kentucky, with plans to expand to additional cities. We also have an online presence that serves thousands of people who aren't located near one of our physical sites.

Job Summary
This role works under the direction of the Lead Technical Artist and in close collaboration with Experience Team creatives to translate creative vision and produce animation, cohesive graphics packages, and environmental elements to create an immersive weekend experience.
The primary focus of this role is content for a large LED volume for weekend services, but may also include AR/XR projects as well. A solid foundation and experience in 3D work is absolutely essential. We are looking for an artist with a strong aesthetic sensibility with the drive to create excellent work and to stay on the cutting edge of this technology as it continues to evolve rapidly.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design and execute a variety of assets (digital environments, animation, graphics packages, etc.) to create an immersive weekend experience that is cohesive with the overall creative direction.
  • Execute a weekly production plan for asset creation.
  • Maintain documentation of technical and workflow problems and solutions.
  • Build and manage a library of assets, templates and presets.

Experience/Skills Requirements
  • 1-5+ years of professional motion graphics experience (please submit a reel or samples of work).
  • Proficient in content creation and integration in a game engine.
  • Experience working with 3D design including: modeling, texturing/materials, UV mapping, virtual lighting and rendering.
  • Experience creating generative and interactive content as well as real-time content rendering and modification.
  • Robust understanding of data routing including: ASCN, Midi, ArtNet, and OSC.
  • Familiarity with a broadcast video environment including digital signal processing and stage lighting systems.
  • Any experience with interactive/infrared tracking systems (leapmotion, kinect, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of the Google web platform and a willingness to learn other software tools as needed.
  • Organized, disciplined with priorities, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Able to perform effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to walk up to 5 miles while performing duties, including standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
  • Must be able to lift 25 and 50 lbs.

Schedule/Travel Requirements
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and other high impact events at Crossroads.
