TWENTY2 is a female-led, high end private label wallpaper and textiles production company. We are a full service wallpaper and textiles partner, our design driven team provides development and manufacturing expertise for private label collections and custom projects.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Designer with an emphasis on textile print and mural design, to work full-time, in-person in our Design Department. The primary role of the Designer position is to create and develop production ready patterns, murals, and colorways for the following categories: wallpaper, textile, and site specific projects in the range of hospitality, residential, and fine art. Reporting to the Design Manager, this role is an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our partners vision to life.


Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Participates in intaking, manipulating, and creating original art to develop entirely new pattern repeats and murals; while preparing files for production readiness.
  • Clean, mask, and create colorway options.
  • Prepare product mockups, presentation documents, and enhanced/ color matched strikeoffs to bring products to partner approval.
  • Coordinates weekly schedule and workload using the company's workflow management software to stay ahead of timelines.
  • Works cross functionally in the product development journey, ensuring that we are advising our partners on best practices and aesthetic decisions as it relates to color, design, and ground selection.
  • Stays updated on trends and advancements in technology, sustainable practices, and industry best practices- sharing insights and recommendations with the team.


Qualifications:


  • BFA in Textiles or 4+ years textile or wallpaper design experience or a related field (Must provide a portfolio of work)
  • Experience developing product directly with manufacturers is a plus
  • Ability to manipulate artwork, mockups, and generate colorways
  • Highly developed taste level and sense of color
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, collaboration, and time management skills
  • Can listen well and follow direction
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to change
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
  • Desire to exceed expectations and self motivate
  • Is dedicated, creative, positive, and resourceful
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful, functional products
  • Understanding of historical context and significance of pattern, design and color, as well as an appreciation for the fine art world.
  • Knowledge of textiles, fabrications, printing and manufacturing techniques
  • Seeks assistance when faced with obstacles and asks questions when faced with ambiguity
  • Highly efficient in the creative suite with an emphasis in Photoshop
