We are seeking a part-time creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer โ€“ Textiles to develop original artwork and prints for apparel and fabric collections. This role combines graphic design expertise with an understanding of textile production, color, trends, and repeat pattern development. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for color, composition, and fashion trends, with the ability to translate concepts into commercially successful textile designs.ย 
Key Responsibilities

  • Create original prints, patterns, graphics, and repeat designs for apparel and textile products.
  • Develop seasonal collections aligned with fashion trends, customer needs, and brand direction.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork for digital and rotary printing.
  • Create seamless repeats, engineered prints, placement graphics, and all-over patterns.
  • Develop colorways and maintain accurate color standards.
  • Collaborate with designers, product development, merchandising, and sourcing teams throughout the product life cycle.
  • Research market trends, color forecasts, and competitor products to inspire new designs.
  • Revise artwork based on customer feedback and production requirements.
  • Ensure artwork meets manufacturing specifications and print limitations.
  • Organize and maintain digital artwork libraries and design archives.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in textile, apparel, or surface pattern design.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrates print, pattern, and textile design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Experience creating seamless repeats and production-ready artwork.
  • Knowledge of textile printing methods, color separation, and fabric construction.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with textile design software as well as Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
  • Understanding Pantone color systems and color management.
  • Experience working with overseas manufacturers and production teams.
  • Familiarity with apparel construction and fabric development.
