Apple’s Vision Pro Solo Knit Band showcases how we seamlessly integrate traditional mechanical components into Softgoods to create soft products that are both breathtaking and extremely functional. In this highly visible lead role, you will utilize your design experience and intuition to define Softgoods architectures and to design, develop, and ship Softgoods products that will amaze and delight our customers.
Description
Delivering extraordinary Apple products made of soft materials is an exciting challenge that requires a cohesive team of creative, open-minded thinkers with a wide variety of backgrounds. We work together in several alluring, customized labs where we design, engineer and develop the best products in the world. Key responsibilities for this role include designing and building prototypes in partnership with our elite Industrial Design team. You will collaborate with talented engineers and scientists across Apple to create Softgoods products for Vision Pro, AirPods Max, HomePods and other new product categories. Softgoods materials and assembly processes are very different than traditional engineering materials and manufacturing methods. If these are new to you, you will quickly learn by working closely with our team. You will learn how to seamlessly integrate electrical and mechanical components into Softgoods to create soft products that are both breathtaking and highly functional.
Preferred Qualifications
MS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
NX experience
Previous Softgoods and / or wearables product design
Minimum Qualifications
BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
3+ years of product design with extensive CAD experience
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to a multi-disciplinary team
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
