This candidate is someone who wants to develop themselves laterally across the different facets of the design and development process- from working with mood boards to being a liaison to the vendors. This candidate wants to nurture a project and see it to fruition.

Essential Attributes Understanding and appreciation of Matteo aesthetic Adobe proficiency: Photoshop, Illustrator Microsoft Office proficiency: Excel Knowledge of sewn products / textile Passion for home products Hands-on and energetic Essential Duties & Responsibilities Work closely with Design team to help articulate and execute projects Produces and updates product specifications and tech packs in all categories: bed, bath, table and apparel Builds and maintains mood boards for print and product development updates Assists in design and creation of new products Assists in research of trends, techniques, and materials Works closely with our Production Department and in-house factory to communicate design vision from concept to finished product Acts as liaison between the Design team and the Production team Reviews samples with the Design team and Production team for construction, fabric, and aesthetic execution Analyzes all Fabric/Trim necessary to produce sample and advises Purchasing Coordinator Helps to cost final product Coordinates sample production to ensure samples are ordered and shipped in accordance with calendar needs, including Pre-production (PP) samples and Top of Production (TOP) samples Maintains consistent and thorough records of samples, lab dips and fabrics Experience and Skills: Project management experience Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office proficiency Vendor experience Apparel / textile experience (understanding of garment construction and associated specifications) Prior experience in Product Development is a plus.
