  • Design and document products through technical drawings, sketches, visual specifications, and tech packs, ensuring that materials, fabrics, and components are selected based on criteria of performance, durability, comfort, and visual consistency across collections
  • Participate in product trials, adjustments, performance testing, and prototype validation
  • Take part in user studies, field observations, and retailer visits to fully understand the market’s actual needs
  • Work closely with development and engineering coordinators and suppliers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs
  • Attend required powersports events to effectively represent the brand to target audiences
  • Actively monitor trends, textile innovations, and new technologies
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design and product development processes

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will thrive in this role:

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field:
- DEC in Fashion Design or Fashion Marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design or a related field
  • Experience in designing technical apparel, soft goods, or textile products
  • Strong understanding of technical materials, manufacturing methods, and production constraints
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, essential for communicating with international suppliers and partners
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (essential); other design tools (a plus)
