Job Summary:

Contraband Bayou Wine Co is a Texas wine distributor based in Houston, Texas with a diverse, global book focused on boutique, family-owned wineries. Contraband is fortunate to represent luminaries such as Pedro Parra, Michelini i Mufatto, Rose & Arrow, Paul Lato among many others.
The company is quickly scaling operations in 2026 and is seeking to add a full-time Sales Representative who will be responsible for driving sales for both companies in the Greater Dallas area. The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating sales, opening new accounts, and meeting planned goals.
Target buyers include on-premise and off-premise, natural and conventional buyers.
Education and Experience:

- Basic knowledge of winemaking process, major varietals, and major wine regions
- Food and Beverage industry experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality
Wage Status: Salary + Commission
Hours: The role is relatively autonomous, but Monday Friday 9-5 is expected.
Job Responsibilities:

- Independently source new sales leads/accounts
- Track sales and status reports using CRM functions
- Coordinate sales efforts with team members
- Work with team to develop planned sales targets
- Meet and exceed planned sales targets
- Attend industry gatherings and events to develop network and promote Contraband's offerings
- Ongoing wine education
Essential Job Functions:

- Developing relationships with account buyers and management
- Continual customer relationship management
- Public tastings, account employee education, and tasting notes for accounts
- Ability to learn and understand background of each winery and their offerings
- Conscientious, outgoing, and inquisitive personality
- Ability to perform in a busy and dynamic environment
- Willingness to fill in for others when the time may arise, including but not limited to hotshot deliveries
- Requires valid drivers license, an insured vehicle, and the ability to travel
