Description:

OCH Technologies is hiring a Systems Tester supporting the FAA’s NAS Defense Program. The System Tester will provide Web Application Testing and Documentation support for the FAA. The System Tester will validate application and system performance against technical requirements and system enhancements.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and deliver a Test Plan and Test Procedures for each test/activity/enhancement update.
  • Verify and validate functionality and performance against new requirements.
  • Perform regression testing of the enhanced application against baseline functionality to ensure the application still performs according to baseline requirements.
  • Execute system-level stress and load testing, including computer resource utilization to identify actual CPU utilization, memory usage, and other operating environment issues that may diminish optimal operation of the applications.
  • Prepare and deliver a test report for each test activity that captures all test results including: Functional and/or performance deficiencies, Planned vs. actual software tests completed, Number of open, closed, and corrected problem/issues, System latency observations, CPU and memory utilization, and Network bandwidth loading effects.
  • Perform manual tests, regression tests, smoke tests, benchmark and performance testing, stress testing, etc.
  • Support the development of system documentation including System Design Documents, Software Architecture documentation, Diagrams, etc.
  • Provide configuration management and software version tracking.
  • Write Test Reports, Test Plans, Test Procedures.
  • Assist with User Training and development of training materials.
  • Requirements gathering, testing, and providing configuration management including software release management, automated pipeline support, and containerization support.

Responsibilities may evolve over time to support team and organizational goals but will remain consistent with the overall scope of the role.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or Math


Experience

  • Minimum of three (3)+ years of professional software testing experience
  • Strong, demonstrated experience with manual testing methodologies
  • Experience writing test reports, test plans, and test procedures that capture all results for each test activity
  • Experience testing web applications and database driven systems
  • Familiarity with government software development and testing processes
  • Experience in integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines is a plus (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with automated testing methodologies is a plus
  • Utilization of Atlassian products including JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence

Security Clearance Requirement

Candidate must have the ability to hold and maintain a Secret Clearance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing systems utilizing ArcGIS, AGOL
  • Familiarity with testing in microservices-based environments
  • Experience testing systems in a closed-network environment
  • Experience using TestRail or equivalent test management platforms/suite systems
  • Familiarity with containerized test execution (Docker)
