Job Title: Senior Specialist – Vendor Audit & AI Enablement (CWC)

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)

Duration: Contract

Rate: CAD70/hr - CAD80/hr


Details:

We are seeking a Senior Specialist – Vendor Audit & AI Enablement to support vendor audit program delivery while driving AI-enabled audit transformation. This role focuses on identifying billing discrepancies, recovering financial value, and improving audit processes through data analytics and automation.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams, and contribute to the development and implementation of AI-driven audit solutions.

Primary Duties


Vendor Audit & Compliance

  • Support execution of the vendor audit plan based on risk, spending, and contract complexity
  • Review contracts, invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documents to identify discrepancies
  • Perform audit testing and financial analysis to validate billing accuracy
  • Identify overpayments, recovery opportunities, and control gaps
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve audit findings
  • Maintain audit documentation, work papers, and reporting dashboards


Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
  • Prepare audit reports, dashboards, and recovery tracking metrics
  • Support continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies


AI & Automation Support

  • Support implementation of AI-enabled vendor audit solutions
  • Translate audit requirements into workflows, business rules, and use cases
  • Participate in testing, validation, and refinement of AI models
  • Assess AI-generated findings for accuracy and business relevance


Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in vendor audit, contract compliance, procurement, finance, or related field
  • Strong experience reviewing contracts, invoices, and commercial terms
  • Proven ability to identify billing discrepancies and drive recoveries
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex organizations
  • Exposure to analytics, automation, or AI-based initiatives is a plus
  • Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Engineering, Construction (other industries also considered)
