Job description

Description

Our team and what we'll accomplish together

Our Connected Home Hardware team researches, ideates, designs, develops, and manages consumer technologies to make our customers' interaction with TELUS services faster, seamless, and more reliable. Whether finding new ways to connect consumer devices, advancing product form factors, or improving machine-to-human interactions, our team focuses on improving our customers' lives by making technology simpler and friendlier.

We work closely with our engineers, marketing teams, industrial designers, and manufacturing partners to manage products from conception to launch and retirement. We support Optik TV, internet access hardware, Boost Wi-Fi, SmartHome, and more.

What you'll do:

As a product manager on the TELUS Connected Home Hardware Team focused on employee market trials, you will oversee and evolve the Employee Market Trial program for our High Speed Internet and SmartHome CPE. You will develop and own the lifecycle of processes and standards for Employee Market Trials across all of TELUS' consumer hardware and firmware projects, nationally. You will build a deep understanding of how our products are tested and validated end-to-end before entering Employee Market Trials, and you will use that knowledge to help these teams move faster, identify issues more efficiently, and continue raising the quality of the firmware reaching our customers. You will be accountable for the overall end-to-end experience of our employee trials and feedback processes, and you will track all program activity, issues, and reporting in JIRA. We are looking for someone who is passionate about executing projects successfully, following documentation best practices, and leading interdependent projects across multiple stakeholders.

Specifically, you will:

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of how our products are tested and validated before entering Employee Market Trials, and partner with Hardware Engineering and vendor partners to bring a product management lens to test planning, readiness criteria, and how testing maps to customer-facing outcomes
  • Facilitate a structured feedback loop that connects insights from Employee Market Trials back into earlier testing activities, and maintain a clear, shared view of progress across all stages so every team understands how their work contributes to overall product readiness
  • Track testing milestones, trial activity, issues, and program improvements in JIRA, provide regular reporting to leadership, and continuously evaluate the structure and duration of Employee Market Trials so they reflect the maturity of the product and the experience of trial participants
  • Work with stakeholders across Hardware Engineering, vendor partners, and internal teams to define cross-product testing strategies and processes
  • Build and maintain a central record of product trials, participants, test cases, and timelines
  • Manage the end-to-end process for identifying, onboarding, tracking, and reporting on trial participants across multiple concurrent product trials
  • Guide products through the testing process, and collect, analyze, and present findings to stakeholders organization wide
Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Experience working with hardware or firmware product lifecycles, including familiarity with how products move from vendor development through internal validation and into market readiness
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating engineering inputs into clear product decisions and customer outcomes
  • Experience designing, documenting, and improving cross-functional processes, with a track record of driving alignment across multiple teams
  • Proficiency with JIRA for program tracking, reporting, and issue management, including building dashboards and structured workflows
  • Proven ability to interpret test results, validation data, and trial feedback to identify trends and inform program decisions
  • Experience managing trial, pilot, or beta programs, including participant engagement and structured feedback collection
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to evaluate existing programs objectively and recommend refinements grounded in data and stakeholder input

Great-to-haves:

  • Proven success leading products through the full lifecycle, including defining product vision and roadmaps, authoring PRDs, and bringing complex products to market on time
  • Deep understanding of user story creation, UX design principles, and gathering both technical and consumer requirements
  • Ability to set and drive big-picture strategy while providing detailed guidance on individual projects
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
