Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous materials surveys.

  • Collect environmental and personal samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis.

  • Provide asbestos and lead-based paint oversight during remediation.

  • Prepare field notes, photographs, sample location maps, and chain-of-custody documents; record survey data on approved forms.

  • Prepare reports detailing survey and project methodology, results, and recommendations

  • Use, calibrate, maintain, clean, and download data from standard field equipment and instruments.

  • Implement health and safety policies, follow company directives and standards, and maintain knowledge of regulations and industry trends.

  • Communicate with project managers, staff, clients, and contractors; participate in training; drive company or rental vehicles; travel as required; work off-hours and weekends when needed.

  • Required DOSH CSST or CAC and CDPH Lead-Related Construction certifications.

  • Valid drivers license with ability to pass DISA drug/alcohol testing.

  • Associate, Bachelors degree, or certificate in a related field preferred; field experience may substitute for education.

  • Experience with asbestos, lead, mold surveys, exposure assessments, and hazardous materials oversight.

  • Ability to wear PPE, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Strong technical inspection and technical writing skills; proficient in Microsoft applications.

  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene/building science equipment, protocols, and applicable regulations.

  • Northern California location with reliable transportation and ability to travel locally up to 50%.
