About This Role
The Design & Test Verification Engineering / Technologist is a broad ranging position responsible for developing and executing test strategies to verify and validate product designs against functional, performance, and a subset of regulatory requirements. This testing will include a combination of hardware and software, such as product GUI's or API's. This role requires learning to use products from several lineages of development including configuration tools and software. The purpose of this activity is to promote product robustness and represents an internal customer perspective.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and reports for design verification and validation.
  • Design and build test setups, fixtures, and automation tools as needed.
  • Execute functional, environmental, performance, and stress testing.
  • Work closely with firmware, electrical, and mechanical engineers to define test coverage.
  • Support regulatory, certification, and compliance testing activities.
  • Analyze test results and provide clear feedback to the development team.
  • Support production test development and manufacturing handoff.
  • This position will require learning about electrical power monitoring to evaluate the correctness of reported values.
  • Adapt to using tools and methods within an international development team using the Helix ALM test case tracking system.

Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Quality Engineering or related technical experience such as an AAS degree in electronics.
  • 3+ years of experience in product test, validation, or verification engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong hands on lab skills and experience with test equipment.
  • Ability to write clear test documentation and reports.
  • Strong organizational skills, especially with revision tracking.
  • Experience working with AC voltages up to 600 VAC.
  • Experience with automated test systems or scripting (Python, LabVIEW, or similar).
  • Experience supporting production test or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong use of Microsoft Excel.
