Northrop Grumman is seeking Test & Evaluation Engineers to join the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program. This position will be located in one of the following locations: Palmdale, CA / Edwards AFB, CA / Mojave, CA / Redondo Beach, CA / El Segundo, CA / San Diego, CA / Patuxent River, MD / Emerado, ND / Oklahoma City, OK

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Test & Evaluation organization.

As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of test & evaluation engineering specializations that may include:

  • Support Test & Evaluation Engineers in planning and executing lab and field tests on components, systems, and software.

  • Set up instrumentation and data acquisition, ensuring test configurations meet engineering and safety requirements while testing designs against reality.

  • Collect and analyze test data to spot anomalies, edge cases, and performance trends, turning results into clear, actionable insight.

  • Prepare test procedures, logs, data summaries, and reports that communicate system performance to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to troubleshoot issues, support root cause and corrective action, and help turn ideas into proven, missionready capability.

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meetALL ofthe below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/universityAND graduating after August2027.

  • Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.

  • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for atleast 10 weeks during summer 2027

  • Be able to obtain andmaintaina U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonableperiod of time, asdeterminedby the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an overall cumulative GPAof 3.25out of4.0 or higher

  • Previousinternship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

  • Good presentation and writing/communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.

  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups.

  • Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.

  • Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from projectinceptionthrough launch.

Intern Pay Range

  • Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-timeMaster'sprogram): $17.50-$39.00

  • Master's: $24.75-$48.00

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
