Job description:

Kett Engineering is accepting applications and pre-qualifying candidates to be test drivers for either a morning or an afternoon shift. This program is working with our customer in a research and development program in Ann Arborn, MI.

The Test Driver follows the direction of Lead Driver and/or Project Coordinator, performs various driving services on vehicles per shift according to customers specifications. and represents Kett Engineering in a professional manner.

We are looking for candidates that are available to work full time hours.

Typical Hours are Monday through Saturday

Pay rate: $18.00/hr.

Morning: 4-5am-2:30pm

Afternoon: 2:30pm-1am

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete a full vehicle evaluation and complete a clear and concise report and any other records for each vehicle during assigned shift.
  • Drive on designated routes for 8 – 10 hour shifts while performing test procedures.
  • Participate in all vehicle testing including but not limited to driving and designated special tests.
  • Operate vehicles in an extremely safe manner, obeying all laws of the road.
  • Maintain safety and security procedures.
  • Must be comfortable driving in inclement weather.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 5 years. Have no points, no major traffic citations, and/or accidents for the past two years.
  • No alcohol related violations on your driving record.
  • Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, written driving test, a road driving test and read maps.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time.
  • Accurately communicate detailed findings verbally and legibly write detailed findings on reporting forms.
  • Follow directions and execute tasks.
  • Be reliable and maintain good attendance.
  • Complete required trainings.
  • Have a positive attitude and ability to contribute to a team environment.
