Description

Seeking a highly responsible experienced quality engineer with strong background in test automation and manual testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality, reliability, and performance, the QA Engineer role for TIOCA consists of a balance between automated and manual testing. The QA Engineer will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to validate requirements/user stories, identify defects, and promote best-in-class QA practices across the development lifecycle of the application. 

This role requires 1 day each week onsite in Rosslyn, VA.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the functional and development teams to identify, document, and execute test cases. 
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts/frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing. 
  • Execute manual test cases for new features, edge cases, and scenarios where automation is not practical.  
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover usability, performance, and reliability issues. 
  • Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans and cases. 
  • Report, track, and verify defects using issue management systems. 
  • Partner with developers and DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Provide clear test documentation, metrics, and quality reports to stakeholders. 
  • Advocate for quality engineering practices and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes. 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain testing best practices to enhance the quality of deliverables. 
  • Ensure adherence to testing standards and processes across all scrum teams. 
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies to adapt to project needs and technological advancements. 
  • Manage the maintenance and enhancement of the regression test suite to ensure ongoing product stability.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors and 5+ years or more experience; Masters and 3+ years; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Hands-on experience in the following areas:
    • Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts/frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing. 
    • Providing clear test documentation, metrics, and quality reports to stakeholders. 

Required Clearance:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Active secret clearance.
