Job description

Overview
As an Associate Automated Test Engineer, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering quality assurance services to support application, cloud, and data systems development. We are looking for candidates with experience in quality assurance and test automation practices in an Agile/DevSecOps work environment.
Contributions
Responsibilities include:
  • Understand stakeholder requirements and collaborate with developers to support quality objectives
  • Meet with product and development teams to determine testing parameters and acceptance criteria
  • Write test plans, test cases, test procedures, bug reports, and QA reports
  • Execute manual and automated test cases for web applications and platforms
  • Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for Drupal-based web applications and content management platforms
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, accessibility, and user acceptance testing
  • Validate Drupal workflows, content publishing processes, user roles and permissions, and system integrations
  • Troubleshoot defects and assist in identifying root causes
  • Work with established automated testing tools and infrastructure to improve test coverage and efficiency
  • Support development, testing, deployment, and release activities within a DevSecOps environment
  • Work with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes and quality standards
  • Assist with documenting current-state environments, gap analyses, and recommendations
  • Leverage virtualization and containerization technologies to support testing activities
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to DevSecOps processes and tools
  • Document test results, defects, and recommendations to support quality improvement efforts
  • Provide status updates on assigned tasks and activities
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve defects and improve application quality

Qualifications
Required:
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience
  • Experience with testing tools such as Behat, PHPUnit, Selenium, JMeter, Playrwright, or similar technologies
  • Experience executing manual and automated test cases for web-based applications
  • Understanding of functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing methodologies
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects
  • Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser developer tools
  • General understanding / familiarity of Drupal core components and typical Drupal development practices
  • Experience testing web applications built on Drupal or other Content Management Systems (CMS)

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Harness, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Travis CI
  • Experience testing Drupal 11 platforms
  • Experience testing integrations between Drupal and external systems, APIs, identity management solutions, or third-party services
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing and Section 508 / WCAG compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with U.S. Web Design System (USWDS)
  • Understanding of Agile development practices and participation in Scrum ceremonies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
