Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities
  • Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems.
  • Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for onboard ship and submarine research.
  • Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software at customer site in West Bethesda, MD.
  • Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results.
  • Some travel (< 5%) required to customer test sites for software system installation, checkout, operation, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications
  • Active Secret clearance desired or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Applied Math, or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience developing LabVIEW software.

Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $135,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
