Job Description
ABM has an exciting new opportunity for a Vice President, Test & Balance Services. The Vice President of Test & Balance (T&B) Services provides enterprise leadership for ABM's T&B business, driving profitable growth, operational excellence, and consistent delivery quality across all assigned geographies. Ensures operational and sales compliance with NEBB/TABB requirements and delivering T&B solutions for clients. The VP sets the overall strategy, standards, and performance expectations for the business.
This role leads multi-region operations and sales execution, develops scalable service delivery and training programs, ensures strong quality/document control practices for all required T&B reporting, and partners with Finance leaders to drive forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.
The VP is also responsible for labor strategy and workforce performance with experience managing both union and non-union workforces strongly preferred.
NEBB Certified Professional certification for Test & Balance is required in order to be considered for this role.
Pay: $200,00 - $266,500
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Strategy, Growth, and Client Leadership
  • Own overall T&B business strategy, go-to-market approach, and annual growth plan (revenue, margin, and market expansion).
  • Lead enterprise sales performance and key account strategy; coach leaders on solution development (estimating, scope development, proposal generation, and customer presentations)
  • Establish and monitor pipeline, bookings, and forecasting cadence; provide regular sales and revenue forecasts in partnership with Finance
  • Serve as executive sponsor for strategic/mission-critical clients (e.g., cleanrooms, industrial manufacturing, biopharma), ensuring technical credibility and service excellence

Operational Excellence, Quality, and Compliance
  • Set and enforce standardized operating procedures and quality systems to ensure safe, accurate, and compliant field execution (including report preparation and documentation)
  • Ensure enterprise compliance with NEBB/TABB requirements and readiness for audits across all operating units
  • Oversee instrumentation standards and ensure a robust calibration program consistent with NEBB requirements
  • Establish governance for final T&B deliverables (including review/sign-off/stamping processes where applicable)
  • Track project financial performance and intervene to protect profitability and customer satisfaction
  • People Leadership, Training, and Labor Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Directors/Regional Leaders and the broader field organization; evaluate workforce capability and close skill gaps through structured development
  • Own workforce planning and labor strategy for both union and non-union environments (staffing models, productivity, performance management, and compliance).
  • Ensure a scalable technician training program from entry-level through advanced/critical environment proficiency
  • Champion safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and related safety requirements
  • Industry Presence
  • Represent ABM as an industry leader through participation in professional events (e.g., NEBB conference) and bring back best practices to improve operations and efficiencies

Scope
  • Enterprise accountability for T&B business performance (growth, margin, quality, safety, and customer outcomes).
  • Oversight of multi-region delivery, including governance of reporting, documentation control practices, and operational consistency
  • Senior-level people leadership with direct oversight of leaders and indirect oversight of a dispersed field workforce.

Qualifications
Requirements
  • 12 or more years of experience, including management experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of Test & Balance / HVAC / critical environments experience (T&B operations & service delivery).
  • Must have NEBB Certified Professional certification for Test & Balance. Additional NEBB, TABB or other related certifications are a plus.
  • Proven leadership experience leading multi-site or multi-region teams in a service-oriented environment (including financial accountability).
  • Executive-level leadership and decision-making; ability to build scalable systems, drive standardization, and lead change.
  • Strong financial acumen (forecasting, budgeting, margin management).
  • Ability to travel to job sites and safely maneuverer in active work environments as needed.
  • Demonstrated expertise delivering services in critical environments (cleanrooms, industrial manufacturing, biopharma, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and safe work practices.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executive-level customer stakeholders.
  • This role operates in both office and field environments, including visits to active job sites. Travel is required.

Strongly Preferred
  • Additional NEBB/TABB or related certifications are a plus.
  • Experience managing both union and non-union workforces.
  • Demonstrated success in estimating/pricing and solution development.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.

Other Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
  • Able to travel to job sites and customer locations.
  • Able to safely maneuver on the job sites (including roofs) to inspect and evaluate equipment.
