Position: Portals Engagement and Outreach Specialist Employment Type: Full Time Location: Falls Church,VA. The Role: The Portals Engagement and Outreach Specialist supports the information needs of government, military, and select partners. The Portals Engagement and Outreach Specialist supports missions primarily focused on knowledge management support, data collaboration, and customer relationship management with US government and military users who work directly with multinational partners, or who are looking to work more collaboratively internally.

The specialist works with members stationed around the world, supporting a variety of missions, and must ensure that members have the resources they need to accomplish their missions and are connected to the proper support personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Maintaining Relationships Anticipate needs of major user groups and key stakeholders Interact with government users in person, over the phone, and through email to build and maintain relationships Provide virtual or in-person briefings to users on key evolving topics or platform best practices Identify, suggest, and execute key information-sharing initiatives that provide value to key government and military organization Connecting Users Identify major user groups or key users and maintain the system to manage interactions with these groups Seek opportunities to connect users, ideally through our platform, to support each other on research opportunities or initiatives Promote our communication tools for quick collaboration Include other team leads when appropriate to ensure users are supported Assisting with Collaboration Proactively help users manage their information, organizing it in an intuitive manner Seek new ways to better relay information, leveraging visualizations and platform tools to help users accomplish their missions Increasing Information Sharing Actively monitor uploads for potential sharing opportunities Promote information shared by different user groups to appropriate channels Business Development Participate in efforts to grow Tesla's business Attributes of a Successful Portals Engagement and Outreach Specialist: Self-motivated-able to collaborate with team members and customers remotely Independently leading trainings on Tesla's GovShare platform and can speak to all GovShare features Independently building and maintaining user relationships through cold and warm outreach, calls, and trainings Interpersonal skills that allow effective interaction with personnel at all levels of US and foreign governments Able and willing to learn various computer and web-based applications; seeks out training to learn applications they are unfamiliar with Basic comprehension of data management using datasets and visualization tools High attention to detail Enforcing Tesla's and the client's security policies at all times Required Qualifications: US citizen 2+ years of experience with and knowledge of data management, querying, and presentation tools (Examples: Excel, Google Sheets, Splunk) Data science and/or visualization experience Client-side experience, including taking meeting minutes, tracking due-outs, and planning meeting follow-ups Government experience or exposure to government agencies Desired Qualifications: A Bachelor's (BA/BS) or Master's (MS) degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration/Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Management. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, certifications, geographic location, and organizational needs. Individual compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
