What to Expect

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Operations Specialist to support our large-scale manufacturing facilities, offsite locations, and the greater Northern Nevada region of operations. This role will center on security operations, including enforcing operational protocols, leading crisis management initiatives, and implementing strategic processes to ensure site security, personnel safety, employee development, and asset protection across all environments.

The Security Operations Specialist will provide leadership during assigned shifts, drive key performance metrics for security effectiveness, foster team development through training and guidance, and contribute to process optimization for enhanced operational success. In the absence of the Security Operations Associate Manager, this role will serve as the primary point of contact for offsite Security Operations, ensuring seamless coordination with on-site and offsite teams.

Shift available: 2:00PM - 10:00PM,Monday - Friday

What You'll Do
  • Exercise independent judgment in directing the activities of the security officers
  • Provide leadership, training, and development to security professionals. Assume overall leadership of Security Operations in the absence of the Manager
  • Draft SOP, Post Orders, and Policy for manager review. Partner with HR, Safety, and other stakeholders to resolve security incidents
  • Coordinate security response for medical emergencies, fire events, or other emergency incidents
  • Conduct site assessment surveys and patrols to ensure site integrity
  • Provide physical security presence to de-escalate and mitigate threats against Tesla property and personnel
  • Ability to follow directions, be the example for Tesla employees, and adhere to Tesla policies and procedures

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of security supervisor, law enforcement, military, or emergency response experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead emergency operations
  • Ability to work all shifts including nights and weekends
  • Formal training in verbal de-escalation preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain state-specific guard cardor other licensing requirements; CurrentFirst Aid/AED/CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license required to operate assigned fleet
