This position is expected to start August or September 2026 and continue through summer term (ending approximately December 2026 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About the Team

Tesla is looking for an GRC IT Analyst to join our Global Risk and Compliance team. As part of this internship, you will operate in a hands-on role to in the IT risk and compliance team. The role will assist with managing day-to-day operations for Key Report validation by working with the IT teams, Business and Security Teams.

In addition to operations for Key Report validation, you will assist with Continuous Control Testing, Key Report Testing and internal Access Management application. You will join the GRC team as part of the CISO's organization and manage activities across the global organization. The role will act as a liaison between IT teams, product security, privacy/legal, audit team, and business stakeholders across Tesla - you will work with business and IT partners across the organization to gather key details for testing, documentation which could impact the company's compliance posture and become a key resource to broader compliance process.

What You'll Do
  • Partner and coordinate with IT teams, application owner, management, and testing groups to perform key report validation strategies
  • Continuously identify areas of improvement, create action plans, and execute to implement changes in a timely manner
  • Continuously evaluate and provide suggestions to improve existing programs and practices, and to align with the organization's risk appetite and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Ensures all key controls and key report monitored, tested and are in compliance per Compliance and Governance standards
  • Ensures the Governance, Risk and Compliance standards are followed in implementation of IAM strategies
  • Ensures documentation of end to end testing and test strategies to IT teams and work towards automating testing effort
  • Drive near-term test initiatives and communications to ensure alignment across the teams while optimizing performance of the project
  • Ensures the business needs are understood and the technology implemented meets the needs and expectations of the business
  • Works with stakeholders across the organization to review, validate and rationalize information
  • Continuously identify areas of improvement, create action plans, and execute to implement changes in a timely manner
  • Continuously evaluate and provide suggestions to improve existing capabilities and practices, and to align with the program goal and ensure desired quality
What You'll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a relevant degree in Information Systems, Security Management, or similar fields of study with a gradation date between December 2026 - December 2027
  • Able to relocate and work on site at Tesla's Corporate HQ in Austin, TX
  • 1 year of Business Process Risk and Compliance experience
  • Experience understanding and testing end to end Business flows
  • You have in-depth knowledge around Global Risk and Compliance efforts
  • You have experience leading and mitigating risk in projects throughout an organization
  • You have relevant knowledge and experience in design and operation of third-party risk management process and frameworks
