Job Overview

OnsiteEnergy, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, experienced Solar Electrical Foreman to lead our residential solar installation crews. This is a full-time, field-based role for a natural leader who takes pride in

safety, craftsmanship, and mentoring others. You'll supervise installations from start to finish, interpret electrical plans, and ensure all work meets code, manufacturer standards, and customer expectations. Ideal candidates have deep experience with residential solar systems including Enphase, Tesla, and SolarEdge and bring strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills to the job site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise residential solar installation crews on-site

  • Interpret and execute electrical plans and one-line diagrams

  • Ensure all installations meet NEC code and AHJ requirements

  • Perform service upgrades and main panel changes as needed

  • Install and configure Enphase, Tesla, and SolarEdge systems

  • Troubleshoot system issues and ensure proper functionality

  • Maintain safety compliance and ensure PPE and protocols are followed

  • Train, coach, and mentor installers to ensure high-quality work

  • Communicate effectively with project managers and field leadership

  • Document work performed and ensure job completion standards are met

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in solar installations, including 23+ years as a foreman

  • Proven leadership skills in managing crews and delegating work

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and site plans

  • Hands-on experience with residential service upgrades and troubleshooting

  • Familiar with Enphase, Tesla, and SolarEdge solar energy systems

  • Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Commitment to quality, safety, and professionalism
