Job Title: Retailer Execution Manager - TESCO
Location: Kingston

ABOUT THE TEAM

JOB PURPOSE


This core purpose of this role to lead the planning execution and evaluation of impactful shopper marketing campaigns with our retailers, spanning across all our BU's. You will be accountable for the delivery of a clear retailer facing shopper activation plan which links to the BU strategy and key jobs to be done with a seamless connection to the full media plan. You will work closely with both your BU shopper leads and the customer account teams to leverage these plans with our retailers to drive impact and ultimately competitive growth.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Retail Execution Manager will be externally facing and sit at the heart of the business, delivering an insight led retailer execution plan which builds Unilever brands in the retailer environment and influences shoppers at the point of purchase. The incumbent will build strong relationships with our retailers, agency partners, account teams and our BU shopper and brand partners. They will operate in an agile manner and will need to be adaptable and prioritise their efforts to meet key project deliverables across the Retailer execution team. Key accountabilities include:

  • Manage a team of Retail Execution executives, as well as being part of the Retail Execution leadership team, together ensuring key priorities are defined and resourced appropriately.

  • Have responsibility for the shopper operations team, which supports the wider retail execution team on the management and tracking of shopper budgets in conjunction with the BU shopper leads.

  • Development of Tesco shopper marketing programme across BU's, aligned to the BU Strategy and Shopper JTBD across, bringing together a relevant omni-channel plan and touchpoints which maximise the visibility for Unilever.

  • Leadership of the end-to-end management of impactful shopper campaigns within the retailer from planning, execution and evaluation

  • Utilising store visits and retailer data and insight, create a bank of best practices for the retailer/brand on the most effective touchpoints based upon the campaign objectives

  • Leadership and management of the Tesco retail execution execs and shopper marketing operations

  • Lead the external communication with the retailer, representing the shopper and campaign plans in key external forums

  • Leadership and negotiation of the agency retail media JBP (Tesco Retail Media) to ensure we have aligned WOW principles and are holding our partners accountable to agreed standards

  • Define BU/Brand prioritisation of shopper campaigns across the retail execution team and ensure we line-up resource to deliver

  • Management of the BMI shopper budgets for Tesco (and wider Retail Exec team), ensuring campaigns and total plan are forecasted and executed to agreed budget campaigns

  • Ensure that artwork meets unmissable POS standards and in line with retailer guidelines, aligning with BU shopper leads

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED


To succeed in this role, you need a strong understanding of the UK retail landscape and know what it takes to ensure Unilever brands are visible and impactful at the key touchpoints on the shopper journey to purchase. You will need to be an excellent communicator, have strong project management skills and draw on experience in commercial and category/marketing roles.
