Job Description Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations E7 Summary/objective

The Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations leads isolved's commercial operations function, setting the strategic direction for the systems, processes, and teams that connect go-to-market execution to revenue outcomes. This role owns the end-to-end revenue value chain, including quota and territory operations, sales compensation and commissions, revenue systems and data governance, deal desk, and revenue reporting and analytics, ensuring these functions operate as a unified, accountable engine in service of the broader sales and go-to-market organization.

Core Job Duties
  • Set the strategic direction and operating model for isolved's commercial operations function, including quota and territory operations, sales compensation and commissions, revenue systems, data governance, deal desk, and revenue reporting and analytics.
  • Own quota and territory operations in partnership with Finance, ensuring quota is set, assigned, and communicated accurately and on time, and that territory assignments are established before a sales hire's start date.
  • Own sales compensation and commissions administration, including plan design, sales crediting rules, payout accuracy, and dispute resolution, and evaluate and select the systems and platforms that support them.
  • Own the architecture and integration of the commercial technology stack, including the CRM and its connections to compensation, service, and financial systems, eliminating manual, error-prone handoffs between systems.
  • Establish and maintain data governance standards across the commercial technology stack, ensuring a single source of truth for revenue data.
  • Own the deal desk function, including quoting, deal structuring, and approvals, expanding into pricing strategy as deal complexity and volume grow.
  • Deliver rep-facing and executive-facing reporting and analytics that provide timely, accurate visibility into commercial performance.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Sales Enablement leadership to ensure commercial operations infrastructure scales with the business and supports go-to-market strategy.
  • Administer governance forums such as the sales compensation committee, ensuring commission plan decisions are made through a clear, accountable process.
  • Build and develop a high-performing commercial operations team capable of scaling with the business.
Job Complexity

Sets strategy and guides senior leaders in identifying and evaluating fundamental issues and direction for business unit(s). Requires in-depth knowledge of the business unit, business strategies, and the company's goals.

Interaction

Supervision

Directs and controls the activities of one or more business unit, division, product groups or service areas through senior leaders who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas. Clear expertise as a leader and operator.

Experience

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of direct experience, with 10+ years of leadership experience. May require advanced degree.

Scope

Sets direction, strategy, and vision for business unit(s). Holds senior leaders accountable for results. Helps shape, exemplify, and hold senior leaders accountable to the management standards of the company. Approves corporate and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation. Inspires senior leaders to develop innovative concepts and promote new ideas. Drives meaningful impact and improvements across multiple functions or business units; strategically plans for how people and processes scale.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 12+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or commercial operations, with significant leadership experience.
  • Proven experience owning compensation, quota, territory, or CRM and systems functions within a SaaS or subscription-based business.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional leadership without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable, well-governed operating processes across systems and teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Travel Required

Yes, up to 10% domestic travel may be required.
