The Terminal Manager is accountable for operational performance, workforce management, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.### ### Key Responsibilities* Lead all daily terminal operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation services.* Oversee driver management, dispatch operations, route planning, and fleet utilization.* Ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance while maintaining high levels of customer service.* Serve as the primary escalation point for operational, driver, customer, and service-related issues.* Manage staffing levels, scheduling, attendance, and employee development within the terminal.* Recruit, coach, train, and mentor drivers and support staff to drive performance and engagement.* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including service performance, productivity, safety, and profitability.* Develop and implement action plans to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.* Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, company safety standards, and customer expectations.* Conduct safety meetings, investigations, corrective actions, and performance discussions as necessary.* Maintain accurate operational records, reports, payroll data, and compliance documentation.* Manage terminal budgets, labor expenses, equipment utilization, and operating costs.* Partner with customers to address concerns, provide service updates, and identify opportunities for growth.* Collaborate with corporate leadership and support teams to achieve business objectives and operational goals.* Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.### ### Qualifications* Bachelor's degree preferred; Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.* 5+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, dedicated fleet operations, distribution, or supply chain environments preferred.* Previous experience managing drivers, dispatch operations, and customer relationships.* Strong understanding of DOT regulations, fleet operations, and transportation safety requirements.* Proven leadership abilities with experience coaching, developing, and holding employees accountable.* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.* Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and transportation management systems (TMS).* Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment.* Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational expenses preferred.### About UsUniversal Logistics Holdings, Inc.
