TERMINAL MANAGER
Position Summary
The Terminal Manager is responsible for the overall management, performance, and profitability of terminal operations. This position provides leadership for all operational activities including transportation, freight handling, safety compliance, customer service, employee management, route execution, inventory control, and administrative functions. The Terminal Manager ensures that company objectives, customer expectations, and operational standards are consistently achieved while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Management
  • Oversee all daily terminal operations to ensure efficient and effective service execution.
  • Manage freight receiving, staging, loading, unloading, inventory control, and distribution activities.
  • Ensure all routes are properly planned, staffed, and executed according to customer and company requirements.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain terminal organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
Customer Service Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer-related operational issues.
  • Ensure service commitments are met consistently and professionally.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns, service failures, and delivery exceptions.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
  • Monitor customer performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
Safety and Compliance
