Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

General Description:

The Tennis Shop Attendants provide first-class customer service while covering the tennis shop by answering all phone calls and providing helpful information, and by assisting Members and their guests in the tennis shop. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Provide outstanding service to Members and guests
  • Assist with retail purchases in the Tennis Pro Shop
  • Greet and check-in Members and guests to the tennis courts
  • Be diligent about monitoring court activity and online reservations
  • Answer phones
  • Assist with special events and tennis programs
  • Keep the Tennis Pro Shop clean and organized
  • Occasionally light maintenance on the courts, such as brooming the clay, cleaning the lines, changing water coolers, and emptying trash
  • Additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong communication skills, on the phone and in-person
  • Background in tennis or in hospitality strongly preferred Racquet stringing experience preferred
  • Computer literate, including basic Microsoft Office and the ability to operate a point-of-sale system
  • Excellent teamwork and service required
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs
  • Ability to tolerate all seasonal weather conditions
