Job description

Position Overview
Raintree Country Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Tennis Pro Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our racquet sports retail environment. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional member experience while supporting the continued growth of tennis and pickleball programming at Raintree.
The ideal candidate is service-driven, highly organized, knowledgeable in racquet sports retail, and thrives in a private club setting.
 
Pay Range: $20-$22 hourly

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all daily operations of the Tennis Pro Shop, including opening and closing procedures
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to Raintree members, guests, and program participants
  • Oversee retail sales, inventory management, and merchandising for tennis and pickleball
  • Order, receive, price, and merchandise apparel, equipment, accessories, and footwear
  • Operate and manage POS systems, cash handling, and sales reporting
  • Maintain demo racquet programs and coordinate restringing services
  • Assist members with court reservations, lesson registrations, and program inquiries
  • Promote and support tennis and pickleball lessons, clinics, leagues, camps, and tournaments
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Racquet Sports and teaching professionals
  • Support junior programs, USTA teams, pickleball programming, and special events
  • Train and supervise part-time pro shop staff as needed
  • Ensure the pro shop is consistently clean, organized, and visually appealing
  • Communicate effectively with club leadership and racquet sports staff
 
Qualifications
  • Previous pro shop, retail management, or customer service experience (country club preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of tennis and/or pickleball equipment, apparel, and trends
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using POS systems and basic sales reporting tools
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a private club environment
Preferred Experience
  • Tennis or golf pro shop experience
  • Inventory control and merchandising experience
  • Familiarity with junior programs, leagues, and tournament operations
