Want to work near the ocean?
 The Town of Palm Beach is hiring part-time Tennis attendants for the Phipps Ocean Park Racquet Center and  Seaview Park Tennis Center on the island of Palm Beach. 18-24 hours per week.
 
 We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused team member to join our team! As the face of our facility, you will welcome players, manage reservations, and help keep our pro shop running smoothly.  

 
While tennis knowledge is a plus, it is not requiredwe are happy to train the right person. Please note that court maintenance is not part of this role.  The Tennis Attendant is supervised by the Tennis Manager and must have good independent judgement as the employee frequently works alone.
 
  • Flexible Schedule: Availability to work evenings (up to 8:00 PM), weekends, and holidays.

  • Welcoming guests and checking in players as they arrive.
  • Managing bookings and scheduling play time.
  • Responsible for daily communication of events, programs, and court conditions to the general public.
  • Utilize the PlaybyPoint system to process payments for court reservations, clinics, lessons, and merchandise, as well as for player communication and daily operations.
  • Helping customers with purchases in the pro shop.
  • Performing general housekeeping to keep the pro shop clean and organized.

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and experience operating POS (Point of Sale) systems.
  • Valid drivers license and dependable transportation.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, departmental officials, and the general public, both in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to work independently, or under minimal supervision.

Compensation details: 16-18 Hourly Wage
