Job description

Long Cove Club is seeking a Tennis Court & Facility Maintenance Associate to join our team. This hands-on position is essential to ensuring our clay courts and tennis facilities remain in top condition for our members. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to assist in the pro shop when needed.

Court & Facility Maintenance

  • Groom clay courts daily, including brushing and lining courts twice per day
  • Operate court roller and maintain court playability
  • Clean court benches, tables, chairs, and walkways regularly
  • Empty court trash cans and remove debris from facility grounds
  • Install and remove windscreens as needed
  • Perform minor repairs to fences, windscreens, nets, and court equipment
  • Paint court fences and maintain facility aesthetics
  • Keep maintenance building clean and organized

Pro Shop Support

  • Open and close the pro shop according to scheduled hours
  • Reserve courts and manage scheduling for members
  • Answer phones, check messages, and respond promptly to inquiries
  • Notify tennis professionals of schedule changes
  • Communicate court conditions and weather-related updates to members via phone and ForeTees
  • Process financial transactions accurately
  • Monitor court play and assist with tennis ball machine setup
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for minor repairs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Previous experience in tennis court maintenance or facility upkeep preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required
