Job description

Position Summary: Tennis professional will be responsible for instruction and teaching of private lessons, adult and junior clinics, and junior camps. Also will be responsible for 4-6 hours of tennis court maintenance or pro shop attendant per week. 

 

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

  • Division I College playing experience preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience required.
  • Flexible availability is required to be available for guests’ scheduling needs.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Good to Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

  • Teach private lessons, adult and junior clinics, as well as junior camps.
  • Responsible for 4 to 6 hours of tennis court maintenance and racquet stringing.
  • Always exude an outgoing and pleasant personality and should enjoy working with people.
  • Be self-motivated and exhibit excellent communication skills.
  • Must work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Follow and support Service Commitment and Core Values.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

 

Essential Physical Requirements:

  •  Must be able to lift and carry minimum weight of 50 lbs. across short-medium distances.
  • Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping.
  • Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, intense work environment, sometimes under extreme heat and stress.
