Job description

At Tend, we do dentistry differently โ€” bringing hospitality, technology, and clinical excellence together to create a new kind of dental experience. As the Regional Operations Leader for the Boston market, you'll be the key driver of performance, growth, and a culture champion across multiple studios. This role is about more than operations โ€” it's about embodying Tend's values and building a positive, inclusive culture that inspires our teams and delights our members.. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you'll partner closely with Studio Managers, Lead Dentists, and cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence, financial success, and an unparalleled patient experience.

This position will support 4 Tend Studios across the Boston area

What You'll Do

  • Lead Market Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations and overall performance of multiple studios within the Boston market.
  • Drive Results: Own market-level P&L, identify trends, and implement strategies to achieve revenue, efficiency, and profitability goals.
  • Develop Leaders: Coach, mentor, and empower Studio Managers to run high-performing teams and build strong pipelines of talent.
  • Champion Patient Experience: Collaborate with Lead Dentists and clinical teams to ensure a seamless, world-class member experience and consistently strong NPS scores.
  • Ensure Compliance & Quality: Uphold OSHA, HIPAA, and Tend's clinical and operational standards through audits, risk management, and training.
  • Optimize Resources: Oversee staffing, scheduling, and facilities to maximize patient access and maintain well-run, welcoming studios.
  • Model and Promote Culture: Champion Tend's values in every studio. Create an environment where Lead Dentists, Studio Managers and their teams feel supported, respected, and engaged.

Who You Are

You bring leadership, heart, and a growth mindset to everything you do. You live Tend's values, and you know how to bring them to life in your market:

  • Tend to Others: You consistently deliver on goals that matter to patients, teams, and the business, creating an environment where people thrive.
  • Be Brave Enough to Lead: You take initiative, tackle tough issues, and make bold decisions that balance operational excellence and patient care.
  • Savor the Ride: You bring positivity and energy that motivates teams, create an engaging environment, and hold yourself accountable for building and sustaining culture.
  • Embrace Our Differences: You champion inclusivity and respect, ensuring company culture is built on trust and belonging โ€” not just performance.
  • Rooted in Growth: You are reflective and open to feedback, continuously learning and modeling growth for your teams.

You also bring strengths that set you apart as a market leader:

  • Navigate Complexity with Clarity: You break down competing priorities into clear, actionable steps that keep studios moving forward.
  • Decide with Confidence: You make well-informed, timely decisions that balance people, patients, and business needs.
  • Grow Others Through Leadership: You invest in the development of Studio Managers and their teams, preparing them for long-term success.

What You Have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in dental multi-unit operations (managing 3+ locations or more).
  • Proven track record managing multi-site teams with measurable impact on performance and growth.
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership and revenue-driving strategies.
  • Experience with process optimization, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
  • Agility, problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A passion for elevating patient care while driving business success.
  • A proven track record of leading with empathy and building strong team cultures, not just operational results.

What We Offer:

We believe taking care of people starts with taking care of our own. Here's how we've got you covered at Tend:

  • ๐Ÿฉบ Health Comes First - We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance โ€” plus a Dental Wellness Program to keep your smile as sharp as your skills.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ Plan for the Future - 401(k) plan because your future matters just as much as your now.

  • ๐ŸŒด Time to Recharge - Enjoy generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays โ€” because rest is productive.
