Job description

MORE THAN A JOB! If you are an ambitious individual looking for a fulfilling and challenging career, you can find it at one of Jones Capital's family of companies. Today, our companies are pushing the boundaries of what's possible, yet still holding true to the values that founded our first company in 1949. That's why working with us is more than a job; it's a rewarding lifelong experience. WANT TO HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF AN INDUSTRY? BECOME ONE OF JONES!
Company: Jones Capital
Position: IT Customer Support Specialist 2
Location: Hattiesburg, MS
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Position Overview
Jones Capital is seeking a Microsoft 365-native IT professional to serve as our IT Customer Support Specialist 2. We run an entirely cloud-native environment built on Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Azure, and we need someone who lives in that stack daily.
The right candidate will carry hands-on depth across the M365 ecosystem: tenant administration, identity governance, endpoint management, compliance tooling, and cross-platform integration. Relevant Microsoft certifications are strongly preferred and will be weighted heavily in the selection process. Candidates without certifications must demonstrate equivalent breadth through verifiable, hands-on experience.
Microsoft Certifications - Strongly Preferred
One or more of the following certifications are considered near-requirements. Candidates holding these will receive priority consideration:
β€’ MS-102
β€’ MD-102
β€’ AZ-104
β€’ SC-300
β€’ MS-700
β€’ AZ-305
β€’ SC-100
Candidates without certifications must demonstrate 5+ years of hands-on M365 tenant administration, Entra ID/Azure AD management, and Intune endpoint management at a comparable depth.
Duties & Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 Administration
β€’ Administer Exchange Online: mailboxes, mail flow rules, connectors, anti-spam/anti-phishing policies, message tracing
β€’ Manage Teams administration: policies, channels, meeting settings, telephony/Teams Rooms where applicable
β€’ Administer SharePoint Online and OneDrive: site provisioning, permissions, external sharing policies, storage management
β€’ Manage Microsoft 365 licensing across users and groups; enforce license governance policies
β€’ Operate Microsoft Purview: compliance policies, retention labels, eDiscovery, DLP, Information Protection
Identity & Access Management
β€’ Administer Entra ID (Azure AD): user and group lifecycle, dynamic groups, B2B guest access
β€’ Configure and enforce Conditional Access policies; troubleshoot authentication failures across policy conditions
β€’ Manage MFA, SSPR, and Password less/Windows Hello for Business deployments
β€’ Administer app registrations and enterprise applications; configure SSO (SAML/OIDC) for SaaS integrations
β€’ Monitor Entra ID sign-in and audit logs; investigate anomalies and respond to Identity Protection alerts
Endpoint Management (Intune / MEM)
β€’ Manage Windows and macOS devices through Intune: enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies
β€’ Deploy and maintain Win32 and MSIX application packages via Intune; troubleshoot deployment failures
β€’ Configure and enforce update rings, BitLocker encryption, and endpoint security baselines
β€’ Conduct hardware/software inventory and remediate non-compliant devices
Advanced Technical Support
β€’ Serve as escalation point from Tier 1; resolve complex incidents within SLA with full documentation
β€’ Perform root cause analysis and engineer durable solutions to prevent recurrence
β€’ Support multi-tenant MSP environment: maintain context separation, tenant-specific configurations, and cross-org policy consistency
β€’ Contribute to and maintain internal knowledge base with resolution patterns and runbooks
Automation & Integration
β€’ Support Microsoft 365 integration projects including third-party SSO migrations, eDiscovery workflows, and bulk provisioning
β€’ Assist with Power Automate flows and integration touchpoints affecting M365 services
Qualifications
Required
β€’ 3-7 years of experience in IT support with a demonstrated focus on Microsoft 365 administration
β€’ Hands-on experience managing Entra ID / Azure AD at a tenant admin level - not just end-user operations
β€’ Proven Intune endpoint management experience across enrollment, policy configuration, and app deployment
β€’ Experience administering Exchange Online beyond basic mailbox management (transport rules, connectors, Defender policies)
β€’ Familiarity with Microsoft Purview compliance tooling: eDiscovery, retention, DLP
β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document complex procedures clearly
β€’ Strong work ethics aligned with Jones Capital's core values
Preferred
β€’ One or more active Microsoft certifications (MS-102, MD-102, SC-400, AZ-104, or equivalent)
β€’ Experience in an MSP environment managing multiple tenants simultaneously
β€’ Exposure to Meraki network administration (switching, VLANs, wireless, firewall policies)
β€’ Experience with automation tooling: PowerShell scripting, n8n, Power Automate, or Graph API
β€’ Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Key Competencies
β€’ Systems thinker: you connect the dots across identity, device, application, and data layers
β€’ Ownership mentality: you close the loop on issues rather than passing them along
β€’ Detail-oriented: configurations matter, you verify before you ship
β€’ Collaborative: you communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and with senior engineers
β€’ Adaptable: our environment evolves; you stay current on M365 roadmap and apply updates proactively
