Commercial Framer

Location: Mankato MN

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime available based

on project needs)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Framer to join a

growing construction team working on a variety of commercial and residential

projects, including restaurants, apartments, hotels, and other commercial

facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work on projects from rough

framing through finish carpentry while contributing to high-quality

construction projects in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with wood stud

framing, finish carpentry, reading construction plans, and using hand and power

tools safely and effectively. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented,

and capable of working independently as well as alongside a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wood framing for commercial and residential construction projects.
  • Install backing and blocking for fixtures, hardware, and finishes.
  • Install doors, frames, and associated hardware according to specifications.
  • Install cabinets, vanities, and other fixtures with quality craftsmanship.
  • Complete finish carpentry work including baseboards, casings, window trim, and door trim.
  • Hang and tape drywall to project specifications.
  • Interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
  • Measure accurately and perform layout work using tape measures and construction tools.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, nail guns, and other carpentry equipment safely.
  • Assist with general construction and demolition activities as needed.
  • Work closely with project teams to meet schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of carpentry experience.
  • Experience in commercial or residential construction.
  • Finish carpentry experience including trim, casings, and fixture installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and construction plans.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and nail guns.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements and complete layout tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to perform demolition and general construction work as needed.
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial construction experience.
  • Experience working on restaurants, hotels, multi-family housing, or similar projects.
  • Drywall hanging and taping experience.
  • Rough carpentry and general construction experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
