Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - WEEKLY PAY - $22 to $28/HOUR

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems for specialized equipment in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment. You will assemble frameworks, booms, hydraulic tanks, and mowing equipment onto tractors and trucks, while ensuring all components meet factory specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly of frameworks, booms, hydraulic tanks, and related components.
  • Assemble hydraulic systems, including control valves, hoses, fittings, and operator controls.
  • Carry out electrical assembly, including switchbox and joystick wiring, and related electrical components.
  • Assemble mount kits onto tractors and trucks using blueprints, schematics, and operator manuals.
  • Install mowing equipment onto power units, including booms, draft beams, and various mower heads.
  • Manipulate and position heavy objects safely using overhead hoists.
  • Inspect mounts for damage and verify dimensions and clearances for conformance to factory specifications.
  • Replace or repair worn or damaged parts to restore proper function.
  • Perform welding on body or frame parts as needed to complete assemblies.
  • Conduct testing and final inspections of completed units using established checklists.
  • Report obstacles, issues, or delays promptly to the day assembly lead.
  • Work independently and in small groups to complete assembly tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with practical experience working on engines and mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including hoses, valves, and controls.
  • Experience with basic electrical systems, including wiring, switchboxes, and control components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and operator manuals.
  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and hydraulic assembly tasks.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools for assembly work.

Work Environment

The role is based in a temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. Tractor assemblers work together in a dedicated corner of the building, where tractors are delivered and then outfitted with specialized attachments. Work is performed both independently and in small groups, using overhead hoists, hand tools, power tools, and standard assembly equipment. The schedule typically consists of 45–50 hours per week, working four 10-hour days. One available day shift runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The environment is fast paced yet structured, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and adherence to assembly procedures and checklists.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
