+ Benefits and 401k
Start Date:

Aquent is proud to partner with a leading creative studio that stands at the forefront of shaping how a major brand connects with its audience. This dynamic organization is renowned for its innovative approach to content creation, driving engagement across diverse platforms and campaigns. Joining this team means becoming a pivotal creative force, transforming raw footage into captivating stories that resonate with millions and significantly impact brand perception.
Are you a visionary storyteller with a passion for transforming raw footage into captivating narratives? We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to become a core contributor within a vibrant Post Production team. In this exhilarating role, you will wield your creative vision and technical expertise to craft compelling long-form, commercial, digital, and social content that will elevate a prominent brand's presence across every channel. Your work will not only drive engagement but also push the boundaries of creative output, making a tangible impact on how stories are told and perceived by a vast audience.
What You Will Do
  • Edit a wide array of content, including commercial spots, digital campaigns, social-first cuts, and long-form branded pieces, ensuring each deliverable is polished, compelling, and optimized for its specific platform.
  • Translate creative briefs into effective editorial approaches, actively contributing ideas for pacing, music, and visual rhythm while remaining open to feedback and creative direction.
  • Develop and manage multi-deliverable versioning packages, meticulously adapting approved masters into various lengths, aspect ratios, and platform-specific formats (e.g., broadcast, digital, social media, out-of-home).
  • Bring a unique creative perspective to the edit suite, making active contributions to performance choices, narrative structure, and music selection, balancing creative ambition with strategic objectives.
  • Stay abreast of the latest platform trends, content formats, and the evolving visual language of social media, integrating this knowledge into your editorial choices to keep content fresh and culturally resonant.
  • Maintain rigorous project organization, including clean bin and folder structures, consistent naming conventions, and accurate media management, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Prepare and export all deliverables to precise technical specifications, including codec, resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio, and loudness standards, performing thorough final technical reviews.
  • Contribute to and uphold departmental editorial standard operating procedures and workflow documentation, helping to build a clean and consistent post-production environment.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate repetitive technical tasks, such as export batches and proxy generation, to maximize creative time and efficiency.
  • Prepare clean and complete handoff packages for downstream post-production departments, including conform materials, audio exports, and visual effects pull lists, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Collaborate closely with creative directors, art directors, and producers throughout the editing process, actively participating in reviews and communicating proactively on project status and potential issues.
  • Work fluidly with the broader post-production team, including motion designers, colorists, and audio engineers, integrating their work seamlessly into timelines and maintaining strong inter-departmental communication.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects effectively, tracking your workload, proactively flagging scheduling risks, and keeping stakeholders informed on project progress.
  • Contribute to a positive, energized, and high-functioning studio environment, fostering a collaborative atmosphere where exceptional creative work thrives.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of dedicated experience in editorial roles, ideally within a commercial post facility, advertising agency, or in-house creative studio, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical editorial work across commercial, digital, and social formats.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Avid Media Composer, including expertise in multicam editorial, shared storage environments, project organization, and multi-deliverable sequence management.
  • Working knowledge of the broader Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition, for supporting temp graphics, basic compositing, and audio fixes within an editorial context.
  • Strong understanding of media formats, codecs, and technical delivery requirements across broadcast, digital, and social platforms, including ProRes, DNxHD, H.264/H.265, loudness standards, and platform-specific aspect ratio and encoding specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience editing for major social media platforms, with a deep understanding of content optimization for pacing, format, captioning, and viewer behavior on each platform.
  • Exceptional project organization and file management discipline, with experience in shared storage environments and the ability to maintain clean, well-structured projects across multiple concurrent productions.
  • A creative and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, capable of identifying project needs, proposing clear paths forward, and executing efficiently under deadline pressure without compromising quality.
  • Proficiency in production management and collaboration tools such as Airtable, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Google Slides and PowerPoint, Slack, and Teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve for editorial, color review, or delivery workflows.
  • Experience collaborating closely with motion design and computer graphics teams, understanding how to effectively integrate placeholder graphics, computer graphics renders, and motion design elements into timelines.
  • Working knowledge of color science and color-managed workflows, including log formats, LUT application, and correct sequence setup for downstream color grading.
  • Experience in a marketing, retail, or e-commerce environment, understanding how editorial decisions align with campaign objectives, brand standards, and legal compliance.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted editorial tools, such as auto-captioning and dialogue-based search, and an interest in leveraging them to enhance efficiency and creative capacity on high-volume projects.
