The Buckhead Center Operational Services team at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an Administrative Coordinator (Temp).

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The Administrative Coordinator (Temp) will provide front desk support to the Buckhead Center Operational Services team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Greet and welcome visitors, students, faculty, and staff; help them with directions, check-in, or refer them to appropriate staff.
  • Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls; manage the office's front desk email account and general correspondence.
  • Manage the appointment system (e.g., scheduling, cancellations, follow-ups), including in-person and virtual appointments.
  • Monitor walk-in traffic; assist students who come without appointments with basic inquiries or route them as needed.
  • Maintain front desk area: keep it clean, organized, stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail/package deliveries; distribute internal mail; handle document scanning, copying, filing.
  • Provide students with information about university policies, deadlines, and resources (e.g., registration, graduation, financial aid, tutoring, etc.).
  • Coordinate meeting room reservations and space scheduling for special events.
  • Help with the preparation of reports, brochures, presentations or materials for the Buckhead Center Operational Services team.
  • Manage office supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative and clerical tasks as needed (data entry, updating databases, maintaining logs).
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing administrative or front desk role (preferably in higher education).
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort with learning appointment scheduling / student information systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize.
