Job description

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET/CT)

Location: The Woodlands, TX
Duration: 8 Months Contract
Schedule: Rotating - 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
Shift Requirements: Familiarity with EPIC and PET/CT systems


Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET/CT) to perform advanced imaging procedures that support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role involves conducting PET/CT exams, evaluating organ function, and ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform PET/CT imaging procedures to capture detailed diagnostic images
  • Evaluate organ function and analyze biological data for clinical interpretation
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety standards
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols
  • Conduct moderate to complex analysis within assigned areas
  • Monitor resource utilization and workflow efficiency
  • Evaluate processes and recommend improvements for operational effectiveness
  • Compile and present historical data trends to support departmental goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and other clinical systems
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care

Required Qualifications
  • Current or temporary Texas Medical Board (MRT) license (required)
  • One (1) of the following certifications:
    • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N)
    • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
  • Experience performing PET/CT imaging procedures
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and imaging protocols
  • Familiarity with EPIC and PET/CT systems

Preferred Skills
  • Ability to perform moderate to complex technical and analytical tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience in process improvement and workflow analysis

Work Environment
  • Clinical imaging setting
  • Requires standing for extended periods and handling imaging equipment
  • Adherence to strict safety and compliance protocols
