Job description

Office Receptionist

CorsoCare Hospice

Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

**Temporary role lasting until early January, 2027**

Position Summary:

The Receptionist provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be receiving guests at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing them appropriately. The receptionist will be responsible for professionally answering incoming calls and directing calls to appropriate associates. The receptionist will assist office/clinical staff with special projects, mailings and requests, as needed.

Required Experience for Receptionist:

  • Possession of high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • One year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Flexible, cooperative, and optimistic in fulfilling all obligations which supports team performance and productivity
  • Present professional appearance/dress

Accountabilities for Receptionist:

  • Resilient Communication: Ability to consistently and effectively communicate with CorsoCare employees and customers
  • Relationship Development: Creating relationships honest conversations, and following through on action items
  • Ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards
  • Support relationships by providing consistent values, attentiveness, and 1440 experiences

Other key Responsibilities for Receptionist:

  • Ensures phone calls are redirected accordingly
  • Greet guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner
  • Maintains confidential patient records in accordance with privacy and security standards of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other applicable state laws.
  • Honors patients rights.
  • Participates in the Agencys Emergency Preparedness, Procedures and Emergency Communications plan.
  • Order, maintain, and restock office and breakroom supplies
  • Coordinates Travel
  • Order/set up lunches for meetings and special events
  • Organize and coordinate use of meeting rooms
  • Collaborate with office staff to plan events for clinician meetings

General Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
