The City of Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department is hiring to fill the temporary role of Forestry Professional/Technical Worker to help maintain the health, safety, and beauty of Lincoln's urban forest. This position performs a variety of skilled work tasks to maintain tree safety and health throughout Lincoln.

What You'll Be Doing Performing a variety of skilled work tasks to maintain tree safety and health throughout Lincoln What We're Looking For Ability to work outside in extreme weather and adverse weather conditions Ability to lift up to 100 lbs An interest in trees and tree biology Compensation and Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour. Pay is issued by direct deposit only. Candidates must have a valid bank account registered in their name in order to receive wages

*This is an unclassified (temporary) position and not eligible for benefits. Schedule: 40 hours per week, generally 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m

Our programs include recreation summer day camps, before and after school programs, clubs and classes for individuals with special needs, adult and youth team sports, nature-based classes and events, swimming lessons, wellness and fitness classes for all ages, and a variety of free events and classes for all ages.
