Purpose of the Job:

TheIETechnician, troubleshoots, andmaintainsoperating units to drive process and product improvements.During a typical day they willMaintenance equipment, PM and troubleshoot equipment.


Internal and External Factors:

The candidateis responsible forsafe and efficient operation of assigned production unitsusing established operating discipline and procedures.TheIE Technicianis responsible formaintainingthe plant assets and protective systems integrity and to deliver established production targets set by the business.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Accountabilities:

SHE

  • Visibly supports and promotes the INEOS 20 Principles and the Culture of Prevention.
  • All activities performedin accordance withestablished company, local, state, federal, and health safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are planned and executedinaccordancewithsite environmental requirements.
  • IdentifySafety improvements on all pre-existing processes.
  • Provides safe work permits to contractors working on or around equipment in the plant and maintenance buildings
  • Verifies clear understanding of work scope, carefully reviews the type of work and potential safety or process reliability hazards.
  • Takesappropriate actiontoinitiateproper safety reviews (e.g., temporary job plan, confined space, hot work, etc.) when reviewing the work scope.
  • Is aware of and responds to emergency protocols during shutdowns and startups.

Manufacturing Excellence

  • Monitor overall program compliance for integrity programs for the asset and coordinate craftsman asrequiredto support these programs and ensure completion prior to due date.
  • Supports maintenance of asset condition per INEOS Asset Care guidelines.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Asset Work Execution Supervisors on larger, more complex jobs including review of work scope with Operations, Execution Forces, Planner/Schedulers to verify clear understanding and development of timelines as needed.
  • Trouble shoots failed/underperforming equipment toidentifyand/oreliminateroot cause.
  • Serve as elevated technical resource in maintenance repair techniques for the asset.
  • Is accountable for PM compliance by craft, schedule compliance, backlog management by crafts for asset. Provides support to engineering project teams that install,modify, or will affect IE & A equipment in the plant.
  • Follows the progress of the projects ensuring that the IE &A isinstalled correctly with all parameters being properly set for the desired operation

Skills/Competencies:

Level of Education & Experience in general

  • High School Diploma/GEDrequired
  • At least 5 years of maintenance-related experience in a plant & Electricaland Instrumentationdesignation or NCCER Electrical and Instrumentation Certification
  • Possess a current, valid license tooperatea motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visasponsorship (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).

Technical Skills

  • SAP experience in areas of Plant Maintenance
  • Ability toutilizeMicrosoft Office Suite tools
  • Ability todemonstratea strong working knowledge of the process and personal safety and health practices applicable in the petrochemical industry. This includes energy isolation, lockout tagout, work permitting, confined space entry, working from heights, hazard communication, lifting and hoisting, incidentreportingand investigation, and MOC.
  • Working knowledge of instrument, electrical, andanalyzerstandards as applied in petrochemical industry and general knowledge of various Codes (e.g. API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, ISA).
  • Working knowledge of technical documentation associated with instrument, electrical, andanalyzerdesign and equipment,
  • Demonstrated capabilities to assess work sequencing,optimizework planning, scheduling, and cost is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in executing preventive maintenance plans.
  • Ability to read P&IDs.
  • Instrumentation Experience:
  • Knowledge of and experience with instrumentation installation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting along with the ability to read and understand P&IDs,schematicsand loop drawings. Experience using HART communicator and documenting calibrator to verify settings of instruments in the field.
  • Knowledge of and experience with PLCs (especially Allen-Bradley), ladder logic, control valves, HART field devices, Emerson Delta V BPCS/SIS or related DCS platforms. Familiar with the maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
  • Knowledge of instrumentation relating to temperature, pressure, massflowand level. Includes DP, Coriolis, Vortex, Ultrasonic, Nuclear, Radar and Magnetic instrumentation, along with associated equipment such as control valves.
  • Electrical Experience:
  • Knowledge of and experience of troubleshooting equipment with voltages up to 12.47kV.
  • Trouble-shooting skills along with the ability to read and understand P&ID, Relay Drawings, Electrical One-Lines and Loop Drawings.
  • Knowledge of testing and maintenance of VFDs, transformers, large electric motors, UPS systems, low and medium voltage switchgear, and low and medium voltage motor controlcenters.
