Job description

IT Support TechnicianPosition Overview

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on and remote technical support for end users. This role serves as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues, supporting workstations, mobile devices, production-floor technology, and business systems while delivering excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve IT support requests received via phone, email, ticketing systems, and in-person interactions.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for end-user technical support.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues involving:
    • Desktops and laptops
    • Tablets and mobile devices
    • Monitors and docking stations
    • Printers and scanners
    • Telephony equipment
    • Barcode scanners and handheld devices
  • Image, configure, deploy, and refresh end-user computing devices according to established standards.
  • Set up technology equipment for new hires and support equipment replacement projects.
  • Receive, track, asset-tag, inventory, and stage hardware for deployment.
  • Process dated equipment and support technology lifecycle management activities.
  • Install approved software applications, updates, and device drivers.
  • Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting, including:
    • Cable and port verification
    • Wireless connectivity support
    • Connectivity testing
    • Escalation of advanced networking issues
  • Support production-floor and warehouse technology, including shared-use devices and operational systems.
  • Troubleshoot conference room technology, audiovisual equipment, digital displays, and workplace collaboration tools.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and asset records.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common end-user technology issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior Help Desk, Service Desk, Technical Support, or IT Support experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
