Are you a SharePoint Administrator looking to take the next step into governance, security, and enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 administration?

We're partnering with an innovative organization seeking a SharePoint Administrator to help strengthen and modernize their Microsoft 365 collaboration environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on administration with strategic thinking around security, permissions, governance, and scalability.

You'll have the opportunity to assess an existing SharePoint environment, implement meaningful improvements, and help shape best practices that impact the entire organization.

• Administer and support SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
• Evaluate the current SharePoint environment and recommend improvements related to governance, security, and scalability.
• Design and implement SharePoint site structures, permissions models, and lifecycle processes.
• Improve audit readiness through stronger security controls and governance practices.
• Manage metadata, taxonomy, information architecture, and data stewardship initiatives.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell and PnP PowerShell.
• Utilize ShareGate for reporting, administration, and platform optimization.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies.
• Create documentation, operational procedures, and governance standards.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Security, HR, Legal, and business stakeholders to deliver collaboration solutions.

• 3+ years of SharePoint Online administration experience
• Strong experience with SharePoint security, permissions, and governance
• Hands-on PowerShell scripting experience
• Experience with PnP PowerShell
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Groups
• Understanding of OAuth authentication and access management
• Experience managing metadata, taxonomy, and information architecture
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

• ShareGate experience
• Microsoft Purview experience
• Power Automate or Microsoft Graph API exposure
• Experience supporting audits, compliance initiatives, or governance programs
• Experience working within enterprise Microsoft 365 environments

This is a Contract position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
