Their primary role is to design and implement strength and conditioning programs that improve job-specific performance, reduce injury risk, and enhance overall physical readiness. The 'temporary' aspect means they are often hired for a specific project, training cycle, or to fill in for a permanent coach. These coaches require knowledge of tactical demands and often have certifications in strength and conditioning. They play a crucial role in ensuring tactical teams remain physically prepared for their duties.

One of the main challenges is quickly assessing the unique needs and current fitness levels of the personnel, while building trust and rapport in a short timeframe. You’ll collaborate closely with permanent staff, medical professionals, and leadership to tailor training that enhances operational readiness and reduces injury risk.
