Job description

Our client, an industrial equipment manufacturer in the Greater New Orleans area, is hiring a CNC Sheet Metal and Press Brake Programmer to join their team. This full-time role focuses on creating and optimizing programs for Trumpf laser cutting and press brake machinery using TruTops Boost software. The position involves improving production efficiency, collaborating with engineering and production teams, troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate documentation. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize nesting programs for laser cutting and press brake operations.
  • Use Trumpf TruTops Boost for accurate sheet metal bending and forming.
  • Troubleshoot programming/machine issues and support equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain programming records and pursue continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required and technical degree or certification highly preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in sheet metal programming, particularly with Trumpf equipment.
  • Proficient in TruTops Boost, reading technical drawings, and understanding sheet metal fabrication.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo), Trumpf TruStore, lean manufacturing, and similar CNC equipment.
