Client: Texas Department Information Resources

Overview:
A public sector client of ours in Austin, Texas is looking for a Salesforce Developer for a 6-month hybrid contract opportunity that is likely to extend. Due to the nature of the role, they are currently only considering hybrid candidates local to or around the Austin area.

The Salesforce Developer is responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs. The role involves testing and evaluating new programs while working closely with developers, UX designers, business analysts, and systems analysts.

This position involves developing software solutions by analyzing information needs, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. The developer will be responsible for completing deliverables according to the Agile team's definition of done. Hands-on experience programming applications in Salesforce is required, as well as familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Daily responsibilities include solution documentation, analysis, problem resolution, design, development, communication with team members, and participation in solution delivery. The role also requires supporting applications across multiple environments, coding testing, peer reviews, defect root cause analysis, and troubleshooting. On-call support may be required as needed.

8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Required Experience:

  • 8 years - Experience in Salesforce development, including Apex programming, Visualforce pages, Apex triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components
  • 8 years - Knowledge of no-code solutions, including Flows, Process Builders, and Workflow Rules
  • 8 years - Experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), coding standards, change control, and version management
  • 8 years - Experience assessing Salesforce.com architecture and delivering secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform
  • 8 years - Experience in all technical aspects of Salesforce programs, including Classic to Lightning upgrades, data migrations, systems integrations, third-party applications, and custom development
  • 8 years - Experience implementing authentication protocols (OAuth) for third-party integrations
  • 8 years - Experience with core web technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML)
  • 8 years - Experience integrating Salesforce with cloud-based and on-premises applications using standard and custom REST APIs
  • 8 years - Proficiency in Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Apex, HTML5, and JavaScript within the Salesforce environment

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year - Experience in DevOps technology, including CI/CD pipelines and build/deployment tools such as Flosum and Git
  • 1 year - Experience creating custom reports and dashboards in Salesforce
  • 1 year - Experience with Agile software development methodologies
