The Financial Accounting Manager oversees the general ledger accounting operations ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP and internal policies. The ideal candidate has a strong general ledger accounting background for a global manufacturing organization, experience analyzing technical accounting issues, with proven team management skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor GL Accountants
  • Lead month-end closing activities, including preparation and review responsibilities for journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Administrator and subject matter expert for Blackline. Execute on increasing use and functionality at corporate and additional site.
  • Support Finance Reporting Manager with the preparation of global consolidation and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, including GAAP P&L, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows
  • Lead preparation of annual financial statement and footnotes.
  • Subject matter expert level knowledge of systems impacting or used in financial reporting, including Epicor (ERP) and NetSuite.
  • Ensure control and oversight of the Company's Global chart of accounts including alignment with global sites.
  • Assist in developing and implementing process and system improvements for processes impacting GAAP financial reporting and the accounting function.
  • Oversight of global fixed asset maintenance and reporting using Sage Fixed Assets.
  • Ownership and completion of revenue recognition process for percentage of completion process, as well as gain a thorough understanding of global revenue recognition processes for various sites and segments.
  • Oversight and technical accounting point of contact for the global leases.
  • Oversight and reconciliation of statutory financial reporting in local GAAP, including how adjustments reconcile within our NetSuite consolidation system.
  • Ad hoc technical accounting analysis and the ability to identify technical items and escalate appropriately.
  • Partner with external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
  • Support various ongoing projects throughout the year. Management of team executing on projects to provide quality, on time results.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of general ledger accounting experience with 3+ years of management experience.
  • Batchelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Must be able to communicate both orally and written in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Team player with the ability to multi-task between priorities.
  • Ability to work in a professional, fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Blackline experience a must.
  • Advanced excel and other reporting tool capabilities.
  • Experience working in a global manufacturing industry.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and deadline driven.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in ERP systems, Epicor a plus.
  • NetSuite reporting experience strongly preferred.

Compensation
  • The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $120,000-$130,000.
