Position: Temporary Retail Associate
Location: Jones Beach Field 5, Zach's Bay
Pay: $35/HR

• Wednesday, September 23rd: 12:00 PM-5:00PM (Store Setup)
• Thursday, September 24th: 12:00PM-7:30PM (Store Open)
• Friday, September 25th: 9:00AM- 7:30PM (Store Open)
• Saturday, September 26th: 8:00AM-9:00PM (Store Open, Race Day)
OVERVIEW:
IRONMAN is coming back to town for IRONMAN NY JONES BEACH 70.3 and we are looking to hire individuals to work in our event store. This is a great opportunity for friends or family to get involved with the race. Work at the official IRONMAN merchandise store assisting customers, athletes, family, and fans in a fast-paced retail environment.
POSITION:
We are looking to hire 10-15 individuals with retail experience that are outgoing, friendly, and hard working with the ability to take direction from management.
DUTIES:
• Assisting Merchandise Event Coordinator and Operations in the execution of store setup and breakdown
• Stocking the sales floor and general store maintenance
• Greeting customers and assisting them with their various needs and questions
• Maintaining visual presentation of the store by sizing, folding, and completing other tasks
• Assisting customers in fitting rooms
• Processing monetary transactions at the cash register
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Retail experience preferred.
• Upon hire all staff must complete the required onboarding tax paperwork prior to work shifts and provide proof of identification.
• Individuals must be of legal working age.
• This is an active working environment. Employees will be expected to bend and reach, lift heavy boxes, and withstand being on their feet all day.
• Appropriate breaks and lunches will be given depending upon the length of the shift.
Overview
  • Upon hire all staff must complete the required UKG onboarding, proof of identification, and background check
  • Temporary staff is hired on a temporary, at-will basis at a wage rate of $20 an hour. Staff will be paid via direct deposit no later than September 30th, 2026 to the address indicated on the tax paperwork.
  • Appropriate breaks and lunches will be given depending upon the length of the shift.
