Responsibilities

What You'll Do

The Sales Audit Specialist is responsible for reviewing and reconciling daily restaurant sales data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of BJ's financial reporting by verifying sales, payments, and deposits across all restaurant locations.

How You'll Contribute

  • Review and reconcile daily restaurant sales, deposits, and payment activity.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash, credit card, and delivery platform transactions.
  • Ensure all data is accurately uploaded from the POS system to the accounting system.
  • Communicate with restaurants, operations teams, and IT to resolve reporting or deposit issues.
  • Assist with the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations during month-end close.
  • Maintain audit trails and documentation to support financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales audit (restaurant or retail experience a plus).
  • Working knowledge of Excel and basic accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive mindset, eager to develop new skills, and comfort in navigating changes.
  • Experience with POS systems, payment processing, and ERP systems preferred (Workday a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • This role follows a hybrid schedule. You'll join us at our Restaurant Support Center in Huntington Beach Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

Salary Range

USD $23.00 - $25.00

This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final salary within the range will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and other job-related qualifications.
