Assignment: Ongoing – 1 week (7 consecutive days) per month
EMR: Epic

Opportunity Highlights

A leading pediatric program is seeking Pediatric Neurologists with Epilepsy/EEG expertise for two flexible coverage options:

Option 1 – Inpatient Pediatric Epilepsy
  • 24-hour shifts: Monday 8:00 AM through the following Monday 8:00 AM
  • On-site during the day with overnight call
  • Coverage of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
  • Average 4–6 epilepsy monitoring patients/week
  • Read approximately:
    • 8 inpatient EEGs/day
    • 10 outpatient EEGs/day
  • 1 week / 7 consecutive days per month
  • Temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean background/malpractice history
Option 2 – Remote Night EEG Coverage
  • Fully remote
  • 5:00 PM–8:00 AM
  • Approximately 5 EEGs/night
  • Flexible scheduling options:
    • Individual nights
    • Full 7-night week
    • Weekend coverage
  • The program provides a laptop equipped with Natus EEG software for remote reading
  • Natus/EEG platform experience required
  • 1 week / 7 consecutive nights per month
Requirements
  • Pediatric Neurology physician
  • Strong Epilepsy and EEG experience
  • Experience with inpatient pediatric epilepsy preferred
  • For remote coverage: familiarity with Natus EEG platform required
  • Clean background and malpractice history required for temporary privileges
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
Work Environment

Hospital-based inpatient pediatric epilepsy setting for the on-site role, with a dedicated Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and EEG interpretation responsibilities. The remote option is fully remote nighttime EEG coverage.
